This says, 8 mins 6.5 sec on the ring? Epacy I am not the expert you are, but hasn't there been a discussion about ring times. Is this good?

Nice

Nice review, thanks for scanning.

The best quote IMO:

Quote:
in the real world the near perfection of the M3's refinement, performance and handling is overwhelming. I wouldn't bet against the M3 beating the Audi RS4, upcoming Mercedes C63 AMG and 5.0 litre Lexus IS-F
However, disappointing are the ongoing remarks about steering, specifically weight, feedback and feel on center and at turn in. It is so hard to believe that the M folks have done something that they love and 90% of the automotive press finds significant cause for critique. Also a bit disappointing are the comments about the most hard core setttings for suspension, steering, throttle not being those that feel the best for the most race-like driving.

Finally I'm not sure why folks keep saying this car has more "computing power" than the E60 M5. They both share 3 32-bit processors capable of over 200 million calculations per second.

It has more computing power per cylinder than any other car. . .

Good review and as expected

Steering: never been a high point in M3 reviews. Both the E46 M and E36 M never recieved raving reviews on steering or brakes. Yet most who have owned both cars love the way they drive. I dont see things being any
different here.

M Settings: No surprise that some of the best settings are not the most hardcore. Didnt the 997S achieve its fastest ring time with PSC or PASM off? Counter intuitive I know but understand that not every track or road is going to be optimal for the hardest suspension setting.

Red looks really good in these pics!
