my m3 farts... ?

Actually my old miniS did something similar. Sounded like "Pap pap pap", not really a farting sound, maybe that's what you're hearing?

Don't know about farting, but my car makes a symphony of noises when I turn it off. Muffler crackles and pops as it cools, I hear strange noises from the engine compartment and high pitched "tinging" from what seems to be the front brakes.

My son even commented about it last night when we pulled into the garage. No farts though.
