Yes they are a direct fit, but I also upgraded the amp at the same time.

I kept the underseat subs. I bought the L7s on ebay.

Ok. Just bought 4 L7s on eBay. I already have Technic's adapter, so I need to buy the JL xd600/6 and I'll be set? I have no idea what you guys mean about crossovers, ohms and hz.

and a ground and power cable set. Mount the ground on the factory point on the left wheel well hump.

Everything is plug and play. Technics wiring harness is very easy to use.

bsw makes direct fit speakers which sound really nice.i'm not sure how they compare to l7's.i have the bsw's and have enjoyed them.you pay a bit extra for the convenience,but they appear of very high quality.

Where can I get that power cable set from? The speakers I could do I'm just worried about the amp seems difficult?

for a JL 600/6 i think an 8 gauge kit will do especially since you won't be maxing out that amp.

#1- Because it is in a car!!!! The interior of a car is a crappy environment for listening to music.

Will l7 speaker replacement be an improvement while retaining stock hifi amp? At least for interim, then move to aftermarket amp if I want more?
