Small airports, small planes FTW.

Interesting. First US delivery keeps getting pushed back. Now it's well into 2013. I'll be surprised if they dedicate 2 or 3 to the M school before paying customers get their hands on them

Thanks for the very detailed write up.

I am further convinced to sign up for this. I love free shit more than anything and this looks like a free shit goldmine, and a fun experience as well.
Boarding on the Tarmac isn't out of the norm when flying out of Reagan National in DC. It depends on the flight, number of people flying, type of aircraft, etc.

haha

I wouldn't call Reagan National in DC that small an airport.

Now Greenville, SC - that's a small airport.

Awesome and insightful! That school looks like a bargain! 2 days of pounding on different M cars with top notch instructors? Wow!

Question about the Advanced M School. Does completing the 2 day course automatically qualify you for the Advanced school or do you have to perform at a certain level? If so, do they tell you if you can sign up for the advanced school?

Great write up! Now I need to decide which route to take, this or Skip Barber at Laguna Seca.

The 3 day Skip Barber racing school at LS is pretty incredible. Driving open wheel cars is intense. They seem to offer frequent 15-20% discounts, so the cost might be comparable to the 2 day M school (although you will also have to pay for hotel and food).

While I haven't done the M school, I've been on their track many times, being my hometown is only about an hour and a half away. While I'm sure the school is a blast, the track on it's own leaves much to be desired. I would rather drop my coin on Skip Barber and be able to drive one of the world's most famous racetracks, and my personal favorite.

Good point. Personally experiencing Laguna Seca is truly amazing.

Thanks for sharing your experience. This may be a stupid question, but in the pics with the 1Ms. It looks like the car in front of you is grey. Do my eyes deceive me. Thanks.
