That doesn't make a catless exhaust legal. They will read the odbII port instead which will tell them if your emission devices are functioning correctly. No more tail snif, just plug in.

Now we just need someone to figure out how to make it appear that the o2 sensors are ready even though they aren't.

Damn. Just got a new tune from them today. Wished I would have noticed this so I could have had them add it. Could help down the road.

awesome. this is really going to help me out... my truck has four cats, and the set of secondary cats is really getting in the way with what i want to do for the suspension. i'll come up with something for the visual, but no sniffer helps if my cats are already bad. i barely passed this year.

How much you wanna bet that doesnt happen...

Most places aren't gonna get down on the ground to try and look under the car.

Time to find a new place!!

I've witnessed 3 smogs in the past month or so all done at the same place and I never saw them look under the car or use any device to check for the cats. These were fully stock cars as well.

Good news for sure. Giant waste of time and money to run the sniffer or do visuals on modern cars. And for people that want to rip out their cats, I gotta say that high-flow aftermarket cats are great... good flow and no pollution. You don't want LA to look like the bad old days again...

Nope. They can't check the OBD status with the Delete-R in the socket.

More accurately, the readiness tests will never complete.

Innotech passes this test with flying colors, its just when they get under the car they notice that somethings missing

We get the ODB test here in PA and it passes without the cats and no tune....
