I want to upgrade the RAM on my MBP. It only has 2GB, but I want to boost it to 8GB (4GB x2). Since mine is a 2007 (or 2008, I forget) model, I wonder if it can be done...

Sean, do you think I could get a 18x9.5 +35 square setup to work (265 all around)?

The rear is no problem, obviously, but the front...

Check this out:

http://www.crucial.com/promo/index.a...110912172233:s

I used it to order 4x2 for my MBP

Can't wait for it to come.
I have a 2x2 right now. so slow...

I have 19x9 et 33 in my front, so the rim will fit

But you won't be able to put a 265 tire in the front.

When I had my 18s, I have 18x9 et 35 (so .5in less aggressive thinner), with 245/35 and I was very very close. (stock height mind you)

but i do know the e93 has a litttlleee less clearance than others (i learned this out the hard way again with my e93 m3)

So I don't feel you'll be able to run a 265 in the front. You're right in that the rear is easy

Best to look into the e90post tire/wheels section though. When I had my 335, I was more concerned with 19s and form rather than full function

Interesting... I have a 2009 MBP. I don't know why I thought it was older lol.

This is what it recommended for me:

http://www.crucial.com/store/mpartsp...805CB0A5CA7304

$50 is cheap for 8GB of RAM. I remember when RAM was $50 for 1GB haha.
