Anyone been to Harrah's in AC?
Plans have changed and instead of Vegas we're heading to Harra's Resort in AC for a lil bachelor's party. Does anyone have experience with them regarding parking situations? I don't want to valet and would feel more comfortable doing the parking myself. Any info would be much appreciated.

I've parked my M3 in the Borgata parking garage without problems. I have yet to bring the M to Harrah's but I wouldn't be too worried about it.

Went 4 times last year. There is a huge self park garage right across the street from the hotel (you take a covered bridge on the 2nd floor to get into the hotel). Parking is $5 or free if you get validated (at any card table).
Never had any probe in there!!

+1 for borgata parking being awesome
from what i've seen at harrah's: most of the people cram right next to the elevators - stay away from them. I'd look around and park next to/under a camera if at all possible. i know someone that had both sideviews ripped/beaten off his car (s4) plus being keyed in that parking lot by i'm assuming some drunk jealous people. never caught the people because there was no camera angle where he parked. make your friends walk a bit and stay away from everyone else...when are you going? i'll have my M down there march 5th... |

Pretty much every major casino in Atlantic City has a self park area. I go about once a month to either Borgata, Harrahs, or Tropicana and you can just drive in and park yourself. It's $5-10.
I'm going there this Friday to Tropicana. It has a huge parking deck. Went there a while back for a small photoshoot.

they've done alot with the night life for both borgata and harrah's (off the strip a long ways). on a friday/saturday the lines are huge for any of the clubs witha very young crowd. harrah's has an awesome pool party at night - really can't go wrong with either casino

I was just at harrah's last weekend. I always have a great time there, The pool party is great. As for parking you should be fine, I never had a problem with the valet or self park

I'll be there this weekend. Love Harrah's. Def stay at the Water Tower. Happy hour at "The Pool" is great. You can self-park...if you want to be safe that a spot towards the top of the parking lot...I'd be scared to take up two spots bc of drunk a-holes leaving the club at night might do something rash (lot can fill up for big party nights)

One word of caution.... I was at Harrahs over the summer (I was staying at the Water Club, ran out to pick up a friend, and just drove straight to Harrahs for the pool party). We pulled up, I valet my car and walk in. When I gave the valet the keys I was pretty much at the entrance to Harrahs in their little driveway overhang thingy.
Fast-forward 3 hours, I walk out and hand the valet my ticket. He then looks all confused, and tells me that they don't have my keys, even though my car has been moved about 500'. The Valet claimed "I never gave him the key". After about 15 minutes of arguing about how the hell they managed to start my car and move it w/o the key, I ask simply to have a Harrah's pay for my cab ride to the Water Club...which amazingly Harrah's then refused to even provide a cab for me to get back, and flat out refused to pay for a car to take me to the closest BMW dealership to buy a replacement key in the morning. Oh....and they still refused to acknowledge that they lost my key in the first place (at one point even taking the stance that the valet must have started my car and driven it because "BMWs always start as long as the key is within 50' of the car". This dance went in circles for about 40 minutes (during this time another customer also claimed that Harrah's misplaced his key, and he had been waiting for a resolution for almost an hour), until eventually my friend found my key....in the trunk of my M3... The Valet manager then stated that my friend "must have had the key the whole time, and put it in the trunk to make Harrah's look bad"....as to how my vehicle was moved 500' in the first place, he still had no answer. And yes...i did tip the valet when I pulled up (the one and only time I tipped upon arrival and not departure.) As I started going ballistic as to why the fine employees of Harrah's were going through my trunk, the manager offered to refund my tip $, but at that point I was too angry to do anything except get in my car and leave. I will NEVER valet my car at Harrah's ever again. Hell....I haven't been back to their nightlcub since either, and don't plan on it anytime soon.
