My Major Complaint So Far...Where to Put Little Stuff?
so i've had my e92 m3 for a couple months now and a couple thousand miles, and i was hoping you guys and gals could give me some suggestions on my major complaint so far...where do you put little stuff in this car? i usually carry my bberry and wallet, and for the life of me i can't figure out where to stuff them. the 'pockets' in the doors are so narrow you can't put anything in there, plus that location is pretty inconvenient anyway. the center console of my car is taken up by my sunglasses, usb flash drive, and cable for my mp3 player which is also in there...there is no other spot. i usually open up the ashtray (car came with it although it was never smoked in) and place the two items there, but it isn't a very elegant solution. any ideas for other spots for these two things? on my m5 i could put my wallet on the wood in the center and my phone in a little 'trough' that was on top of the armrest, but no luck with the m3. pretty minor issue i know!

I use the center cup holder for my Blackberry (and, put the coffee mug in the passenger side cup holder). Or, sometimes put the Blackberry (while it's connected to a charger cable) between the parking brake lever and the center console.

I use the passenger side seat. I extend the lower leg portion a little, enough where the wallet and phone can sit snug.
Sometimes i put my wallet in the drivers side door handle. The one you use to close the door shut. Doesnt BMW know we owners are high maintenance!

the perfect place for your blackberry is in the hole thats on the driver's left arm rest. I keep my wallet in the side thing that opens and closes.

phone in the door handle (not opener) wallet in the door (bottom) top so it doesn't slide around and all my little stuff in the center.

i actually feel like the m3 has plenty of locations. the center console is great for wallet, keys, bb...or the door pockets as well. everything fits no problem.

My BB Torch is plugged to the car charger in the center console. I don't need it out since I'm driving anyway and the calls can go in and out via Bluetooth. My iPod is plugged into the USB port with the white cable it came with and fits in the lower portion of the center console. My wallet and house keys go in the door pocket since I don't use them while I am driving anyway. Everything is out of sight and does not move around while driving.
P.S. I am in LOVE with this car. 705 miles as of today |

You can add a front parcel net.
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...=51&fg=95&hl=1 I used to have first aid cubbies underneath the front seats on my e46M3 but it appears that they are not offered on the e92.

I've tried that area but with a hard launch your phone will go flying. You could try using one of those non-slip pads there... |

You find lack of storage a "major complaint" Has your M3 morphed into something different since you sat in it before buying?
With the M3 being such a fantastic all round package, I find it sad you have a major gripe with storage. Last edited by creepy coupe; 12-16-2010 at 05:34 AM.. |

So your major complaint is where to put your phone and wallet?? You bought the wrong car. IMHO you should have kept the M5, you don't deserve a M3.

Phone goes in the door handle slot and wallet stays in my pocket.

Phone doesn't need to be too hand if you have bluetooth set up.

Agreed - left arm rest is perfect for BB. Wallet in computer bag/briefcase or pocket.

it's not a man purse
it's a satchel (quote from The Hangover) best place for your bluetooth equiped phone is your pocket i never take my iphone out if i get a call i answer from the button on the stereo wallet is in my left back jeans pocket so unless your wallet is as big as George Costanza you should be good to go |

I used the door pocket. To the OP, you do realize it's hinged right? It opens up so you can have full access. There's even a subdivided portion at the front of the the pocket perfect for the wallet. If your wallet is too think to fit in the door pocket, it's too thick IMHO.
My BB is either in my pocket, in the crease of the passenger seat (front portion extended) or charging beside the e brake lever. What possible remotes do guys have?

I got some interesting ideas from other people on this thread. I also use the passenger seat leg bolster area to put stuff in when I carry too many things once in a while. Normally, I find the centre console, ash try area and the driver-side door storage to be enough.
