+1 The updated I drive is worth it. I made the switch and love the new i drive. Not that the '08 is bad but IMO, is night and day. Keep looking and you will find what you want. Don't settle as you will be mad at yourself for not getting what you want. Unless you like the gray interior which I think is a nice contrast. Just my .02

I previously had an rs4 before my e92 m3 and, honestly, the m3 wins hands down. the audi was awesome, but the m3 stole my heart...i'd definitely go with the e92 m3. if it's possible, i'd try to get an 09 that had the updated i drive...
good luck!! |

Go with the coupe, although the fox red is just sexy and if you are in Miami a conv would be a better option...

No chance for test drive. The auction is tommorow morning. Thanks for the opinion. I'll let you know what the result is tommorow I won't sleep much tonight to excited. I decided if I can get the lemans at a steal I'll get it. You guys are right it's a rare combo. Next choice was the e93
I'll let you guys know rhe verdict. Win win either way Thanks ! |

as others have said, forget about the S5. the S5 has a beautiful exterior, but that's it. I don't care for the interior. it's also less exciting to drive than a 335, so it can't possibly be compared to an M3.
if all you're interested in is looks, I can see why you would consider an S5 (altho I personally like the M3's looks more). but go drive one and you'll understand why there's no comparison. good luck. |

s5 looks nice but would fall to last choice between the above mentioned cars.
the lemans blue with silver is what i have on my e90 sedan and I love it... almost feels like the silver interior has a hue of blue to it as a result (or maybe im goofed up with my eyeballs). if you are getting an 08 remember unless its cpo you will have your warranty ending in 2 years max so double check if you have cpo as an option if you intend to put miles on or keep longer than 2 years... may save yourself some headaches only paying a 50 dollar deductible vs a full cost of parts and labor should anything major pop up.

+1. and since ur using this car as your DD, then go with the e93, it'll definitely be a head turner.... even if u do plan on tracking it, u'll still be running a v8 under the hood, so im guessing it should still be powerful enough... good luck with the tough decision!

I've owned both S5 and now M3. Loved my S5, engine had more torque but ran out of breath above 6K. If you want a baby aston martin get the S5. refined, lovely GT. But if you want a full blown sports car go for the E92 coupe. The S65 engine is simply amazing, nothing like the feeling of having an engine go apeshit with power above 6k.
