Marc:

So just curious, if the numbers of LED's used isn't important, why are the early shipments including mine (2 LED's) not effected by the overheating problem? I guess it has to do with the power supply(black box?), but are the initial kits' boxes that different from the current 4 led setup?

Same thing happened to me. Try replying to the e-mail containing your original receipt (if you still have it). That way they have something to reference. Worked for me.

Are the repaired units going to have these spliced in wires? Or will they be completely replaced with longer ones?

I just got a response. But all it said was, "okay, we'll send you a shipping label". No shipping label attached or any information on when I would get one. I guess I just have to wait it out.

its not possible to make the wires longer, the wire Needs to be added on to make it longer, unfortunately there is absolutly no other way to do this.

Dont worry though, the wires are soldered together and covered in heat shrink.

Pictures will be coming soon, i havent been able to find anyone free to take pictures yet.

6w, pretty weak too, guess thats why it doesnt need a big heatsink, but probably wont be too bright...

Just got mine back in the mail today and installed them. I apologize for not taking any pics before I installed them. I wasn't expecting the fuse to be so big, but it fit in the housing just fine. Tucked as much of the wire inside the housing as possible, so I didn't see the need to tape the power supply down since the wires coming out were so short.

I was under the impression that not only did the power supply need to be external to the housing, but also the fuse?

From Marc:

"I do ask you to also install a 2 amp fuse however, as close to the power supply as possible. the fuse will need to stay outside the headlight housing as well"

You're right. I should have reviewed this thread before I installed it. The sticker on the power supply specified that it should be mounted outside the housing, but not mention the fuse.

Here are some updated pics after I moved the fuses to the outside of the housing. The power supply fits quite securely under the little metal brace, although more so on the passenger side.
