I see 3-4 per month. Usually, a jet black just like mine and then a couple of alpine whites (E90 and 2 E92s). I am usually trying to figure out if it is an M and then they are gone. So, no wave.
I did see a beautiful blue M5 driving home today that turned my head. But, I didn't wave. I was feeling a tad introverted.

I have gotten thumbsup from 2 Jeeps and one Nissan Titan
One of the Jeep drivers asked me to rev it up to hear the exhaust, followed a thumbs up

I havent seen another one yet in Charleston. Feel like I'm the only one around. It defiently gets stared at alot. My friend calls it a "cock magnet" since there's always guys drooling on it at work.

I usually flash my high beams, but very rarely get an acknowledgment, so I'm doing it less and less. Once, I got a flash from another M3, which was nice.
I drove 2 911's between 2004 and 2009, and 911 drivers, and Porsche drivers in general, greet each other on the road much more than BMW or M drivers do, that's for sure for both Ontario and Alberta. Pity.

Im in central Jersey too. There another Modded AW E92 M3 about 4 houses away from me, and another SG E92 M3 about a block away from that one. Other than those 2, I rarely see any E92's around. I do see alot of E46 M's and few E90 M3's around though.

I thumbs up or high beam half of the M drivers ignore or don't see, the other half reply in some way.
I also like to rev it a bit so the other M3 driver can hear what his car sounds like from outside. Nobody has extended me that courtesy yet though, except my brother who drove my car past me at 7000 RPM at my request.

I usually give a thumbs up most of the time.
Although lately, I haven't gotten a respose back from them afterwards. So basically I'm kinda' pissed, so I just gun it to redline when I see another M3. |

I've only seen one E9x M3 drive past me around where I live (though I know there are more). The driver was an older guy--didn't look like he wanted people waving at him.

you say whats up? and then do what ever other car enthusiast does; you go for it.
90% of the time it's thumbs up from them and back and forth... 10% of the time when I don't get a response I think hmmm is that a potential Audi owner?

I was on the 2 north once and I saw a pair of "guidos of the west" in a nice AW E92. They sped up just to catch up to me so I turned, smiled, and gave them a thumbs up. My car was bone stock at the time. He asked me to roll down my window so I obliged him, then out of the blue he goes..."620 HP...wanna run"? I told him I was bone stock, and he kept on telling me how much horsepower he had while he was rev'ing me. What a douchebag... Wait... What were we talking about again? I troll and joke around a lot but when I say that most of the asshats of the posers in LA are mostly from glendale, I speak from experience over the past few years I've had my M3s. That and the new waves of retarded kids buying used E46 M3 made me got out of it FAST. and why do they say "bro" so much? |
