When you see another M on the road...
What do you do?
I very rarely see Ms on the road. I live in central NJ. I've had my 08 e90 for over a month and I've only seen 2 other Ms (of any generation) while driving. One was on a road trip to NC. We trailed eachother (switching leads) for about 20mi. Fun experience. I enjoy the rarity of the M, but I also enjoy spotting other Ms on the road. |

Now that I think about it, I should have probably posted this in the regional forum, lol. It's lonely out here in central jerz.
I started this thread after reading the DCT vs. 6MT thread. It pains me to see us fight like that. Hopefully this brings about more positive feelings |

In LA, you see a lot of M. Most owners are enthusiasts and make some kind of gesture back and forth which is cool. Then theres the guys that dont know shit about their cars, just bought it cus they or their parents have the cash and they look at you with this look of "fuck you bro, i got it first" haha

Here in Pittsburgh, I may see 2 or 3 M's a month. And I'm talking across the entire range; Roadster, 3, 5, 6, and unfortunately that SUV. I used to wave to the M3's, but everyone just looked at me like "who the fcuk are you".
So, I don't wave anymore. |

I normally wave at all M3 owners around Capital Region New York, all older men of course so the normally give a polite gesture back which is nice!
There's alot of stuck up rich kids around my area and usually give me the "fuck you" finger and i just dust them:-) Ooo Boy!

An e46 M3 driver showed me a fist last weekend. Maybe it has something to do with me using my m3 to move patio furniture . A friend did not give me his X5M as planned, so I had to make last minute arrangements

Caught an M6 cab owner staring at my car on the highway the other day, we exchanged nods. People seem to be pretty friendly M-to-M, almost every one I've seen has given me some kind of acknowledgement. Driving my E46 328i I couldn't get a second glance. I guess we're snobs. I'm always up for a friendly "howdy" when the other car is obviously a well-kept enthusiast car, whatever it happens to be.
Saw a black X5M yesterday morning and he looked over and did a little wave while blowing past me on the highway. They look really cool in motion.

It's a brotherhood. Smile, wave or nod, check out the mods (if any), thumbs up, drive off happy.
