What other cars use the same wheel size/offset as M3s?

I'm looking to buy some used wheels (winter set), but there isn't a large used market for the E9X M3s right now. So, I'd like to know whether other BMWs share the same offsets as the new M3s.

For example, if I changed the tire diameter, could I put the stock or aftermarket wheels off of a 2006 6 series on to my M3? I know the answer is "no" in this example, but I was wondering if anyone knew of other cars that were compatible...

You see a large # of M3s out there with aftermarket wheels. I doubt that each of these aftermarket wheel companies are making those wheels ONLY for the E90 M3. It wouldn't be financially feasible, OR the wheels would be far more expensive. The particular size and offset that fit the M3 MUST fit some other cars in the market (even if it uses a different tire size), right? So, if that size and offset fits other cars, what are those other cars?

I'm interested as well. Does the current M5 wheels work on the M3?

I'm fairly certain they don't. I looked up BBS CH wheels on TireRack. For 19", the M5 uses a 20mm offset, but the M3 uses a 35mm offset. If BBS wheels require different offsets, I would assume the stock ones are also different offsets. Maybe it'd fit w/ some rubbing?

Current M5 wheel withs/offsets are pretty much in the same range as the E9x M3. Tire sizes will need to be adjusted accordingly though.
