Riss Racing E90 Exhaust Update

Just got an email from Riss, stating that my exhaust should be shipped this week

...but they did attach some photos detailing the adjustable tips. I'm still in...

May very well be one of the most frustrating purchases I've ever made, but somehow I have a weird feeling this exhaust may end up being pretty awesome.

I personally think the hexagonal shape of the mufflers is sick. Hopefully the sound (and maybe lack of drone now?) will be awesome as well.

Well, the exhaust I sent back to them had a fantastic polished finish. I really think they are trying to make this a great exhaust, especially after all the bad press...

I'm pretty frustrated too. I got the exhaust made for the e92 and it looked awful, but sounded awesome. Adam at Riss has been very responsive and is sending the e90 version (this week I hope). He stated they made the muffler with thicker casing and adjustable tips. I have no clue about the science of drone, but I hope the thicker casing helps out some.

I'm not sure those tips are still going in enough... notice no 'side view' from installed side.

They still look like they may be out too far... but could be live-able.

My friend saw the exhaust in person and he changed his mind not to get it.

BTW, for clarification issues, the pics of the adjustment tabs are of the development unit. They promised me that the final product will be highly finished. I'm hyped...

Just received an email from Adam stating the tips will not stick out as far as seen on the M3 in the picture above. He says they've pulled the tips in about 2 inches and will have them adjust outward as desired.

Adam also states the exhausts are at the polishers and should be shipping this week for those with E90's...we'll see how it goes.

It took me 8 weeks to get mine, no adjustable tips, a bracket wasn't welded on right, and it was damaged in transit. It has been 2 weeks and they haven't "decided" whether to take it back or give me a hugh discount. If I don't get an answer by Friday, I'm calling Visa too. RR is horrible to deal with.

I am real sorry you are having so many issues working with Riss. They are very busy with manufacturing/R&D so we have started to work with them as their designated online dealer to assist customers in support and point of sales. The M3 exhausts are slated to ship this week so that should not be a problem. If you have ordered directly from Riss and are having issues with status or returning, drop me a PM and I can get in contact with the guys over there.

Thanks Nick, hope everything turns out well with their exhaust, I guess I'm going to go down the path of giving them 'one last chance'... The plague here, is 'Will Ship This Week'...

We have those posts for over a month...

I like the look of their muffler, that is for sure!

I think this is the finished product on the E90 they brought in for test fitting. The date shows 3/11, but I believe the pictures were updated by the OP.
