***Installed my lighted ZHP Knob tonight...AWESOME little mod***

I had this knob on my E46 M3 and absolutely loved it. It has a great, heavier, feel with a shorter stance. That paired with a ssk was one of my favorite mods in the E46. I sold the knob when I sold my E46 and I was dying for another one for the E92 but didn't like the non lighted aspect.

I found a user over on M3Forum.net by the name of DeadlySyns that actually makes a lighted ZHP knob and ships it to your door for $135 bucks. I paypalled him Monday and got my knob tonight. As everyone knows the stock knob is one piece with the boot and I wanted to reuse my stock boot for the time being. I used a slim sawblade to cut the boot off the knob as close as I could get to the edge. It was actually really easy and turned out really clean. Just installed it and took some pics for you guys.

Let me know what you think!

Completely plug and play. I literally took it out of the box, plugged it in to the stock connector, and shoved it on the stock shifter.

If only we could get a lighted short shifter like yours with the boot.
So that it would look just like oem but shorter.
Damn!!
Looks good nonetheless

I'm just asking because I can't tell if the color matches perfectly and cameras suck at taking photos of illuminated objects..

It is a little bit more red than stock but I think it looks great. For the guys who sent me PMs inquiring where to get these...you have 2 options right now. Either PM deadlysyns or starscream and they can both get it done for you. This is such a huge improvement over stock both looks wise and feel wise. Good luck!

You could always buy the knob and buy a boot from leatherz so you could reuse the stock knob whenever

Is it not too short? Could you take a pic with you pushing it into first and second to check relative distance? I find that even stock is way too short, but I love the weight of the ZHP. ONe of the best mods I had with SSK on the E46. The E92 shifter feels spongey
