Question E93 Ext Warr other than AAA Autoguard?

I've been searching for an extended warranty for my E93 and although NY AAA Autoguard Diamond (w/luxury option) has a great plan, paying $5.4K (M3 quote) is too rich for my budget and in this economy I'm very concerned about the underwriter still being in business in +4 years. I'm mainly concerned about coverage for the hardtop convertible mechanism that other extended warranties I've investigated seem to exclude (ie, they only mention coverage for the motor and wiring).

Anyone find another ext warranty plan for an E93 that is more affordable, given it is being purchased 4 years ahead of the coverage start date?

EasyCare? I think that's what most BMW dealers offer.

GE, Prizm, and Mercury are the ones that I've dealt with.

I got the extended warranty through my dealer (EasyCare) back in August for $2900.00
6 year/100,000 miles. After August, I think it went it to 4.5k-5.5k Any dealer offered warranty is cheaper before the car reaches the first 20k miles.

Thanks, but I didn't buy my car until Oct'08. When I checked the details of the dealer's ext warranty (see attached) it did not cover the electronics of the hardtop vert, but I guess everything else; refer to section c (What is NOT covered), item III. And it doesn't cover the high cost Accessories (refer to sec IV). I need something that will cover the whole hardtop system and the Navi and the enhanced audio system (752). Maybe such an affordable extended warranty policy doesn't exist

Checked out Mercury today, aka, Paragon Motor Club Platinum extended warranty (with luxury option for Navi). Pretty much the same as the BMW ext warr, but cheaper; only $2.5K for 6yr/100K with $100 ded. However, for an E93 it only covers the motor for the hardtop; not the hydraulics, brackets, levers, wires, etc (so same as the BMW policy). Although it does include tire hazard coverage, but not the rims. Lots of other exclusions, though
If nothing else attractive materializes before the end of the year, I guess I'll buy this one, although I could wait until just before 15K miles and pay about the same premium
