I've been in contact with the manufacturer and they say there's a beta firmware with DCT updates. Has anyone tried it? My biggest concern isn't DCT stuff, but lag with the RPM. There's a YouTube video that talks about it.
Can anyone comment on lag? |

When they make one that doesn't require cutting the plastic behind the gauge cluster, then it may be worth looking at.
Instead of using a universal LCD screen and slapping it in every car while charging an arm and leg - they should at least have screens designed to fit each application without permanent modification.

Curious how you got the leather wrapped airbag? Was it direct bolt on?

Any HCAV issues or decrease in HVAC performance after making the requisite cuts?

No. You cut and then re-seal so the tube is just smaller to fit the heat sink on the back of the display. The only issue was the screen froze once, but after I turned the car off and back on it came back to life. I would say just like when your phone does this.

I agree with you on the ugly steering wheel but I've changed my mind on this mod. There are nicer skins, and rice-ier ones, so it all depends which one you choose. |

There is a new one that just came out. It looks a bit more finished and plug and play - no cutting necessary. No upcharge for additional gauges etc.

Absolutely agree. One of the points of getting an E92 was to have a proper gauge cluster in the first place. Not some fucking ipad.
OEM is a nice, timeless design. Besides, if you ever come to sell your car one day, no buyer is going to back out of a deal because your car is stock. But they might do if you've fucked about with it. |

If it's 100% reversible I'm willing to try one for my daily e90 328i, just for fun. I would however, never let it get anywhere near my e92 M3.

I end up plunging my OE dash back up and resetting them all. There is a way, but it would not take to the reset for some reason if it has already expired. It would say it was reset but it was not. Taking it out was not that hard, just the two screws tilt and swing-out. Plugged up the OE reset it all and put the new one back. I know its a pain but don't let it expire or you will have to do this.

Im thinking about this as a personal aesthetic upgrade. Where are we on the newest versions?
They have done many updates to make it more reliable now. I like how it responds after all the updates.

Can you post some photos? Ive asked a bunch of people who say thay have it but no one can show the MDM light and dct level. Ive even reached out to the manufacturer and they asked me to show the pictures of what I was talking about lol. Can you include a link to the new version?
