Tell me this is not true in the 335i interior!
Why is it not electrically controlled? the HVAC is still manually twisted like on cars such as the cavalier!? Its not true, is it. |

yeah, Europe always get the stripped down versions and you have to pay for more options, while here in the US, we get more options packaged together.

That's the standard audio system. "BMW Business" series. It won't be available in North America at least. Maybe in Europe. There is no way the Coupe is going to be less equipped compared to the E90 sedan.

Not in the least... look at all the traffic on this board about people wanting euro spec headlights, euro this, euro that... if anything, I'd say that NA has it worse off. As mentioned, we don't get half the core model options, but we get more inclusive packages. I would have loved a choice b/w more than just 325 or 330 gas engines when I bought my car,... even the 323 wasn't around here last summer.

Do you want the option of getting something (Euro), or have it be a standard feature that you pay for?
Sorry, realize you have probably been beaten to death on this... I just envy the Euro option sheets! |

I kind of wish they offered the regular non-automatic climate control in the higher up models.
I have it in my 2006 323i and I love it. You set the fan where you want it and set the temperature where you want it... no wishing that the automatic system would slow the fan down or cool off/warm up a bit. You just do it. All this automatic shit is overrated a lot of the time! Just give me a great driving BMW. |

I just think that everybody here just wants what other people have. I bet that if the amber markers were european and we had the clear ones. Every body here would be crying for the amber ones.

The F430 is not an everyday car like the 335i. Its focus is track performance and high power to weight ratio. This is why i can accept manual HVAC on a ferrari. Because it a racing focused car. The 335i is a wonderful thing but you can't compare it to a Ferrari.

I was simply pointing out a manual HVAC is not inferior to a digital one in anyway, although a digital unit is considered "more luxurious". FYI, the digital HVAC units in a lot of BMW models are prone to failing after a certain amount of useage. Also FYI: A manual HVAC is not lighter enough than a digital one (a few grams) to be considered weight saving. |
