iDrive Issue!!
So I have a 2011 M3 with the CIC iDrive (with the multi-function buttons next to iDrive wheel). I have had ZERO issues with Bluetooth connectivity until today, when a friend tried pairing his phone.
For some reason we couldn’t get it to work, and it crapped my whole system! I tried resetting iDrive by holding volume button, deleting car from my phone, deleting all the devices and toggling Bluetooth on and off but it still doesn’t work. Now when I try to re-pair a phone, it prompts for the pass key and then says “Connecting...” - Bluetooth Audio works but the telephone doesn’t. Strangely though if I place a call on my phone, it shows on the car as it normally would. However, the telephone menu in iDrive shows as if nothing is paired! Is this a trip to the stealership or can I reboot the TCU?

Oh and then I thought “Restore Previous Version” on iDrive update would be wise, so now I downgraded the modules like an idiot
I previously had: Multimedia MX-003.005.004 Telephone TX-003.005.006 Now I have: Multimedia MX-003.004.031 Telephone TX-003.004.031 Any way to get these files? BMW.com/update says my car is up to date |

The files can be found if you do some digging.
Or find an an older car for sale online that has the VIN listed and use that on the BMW update site. |
