Price is high, car is an 08, and in VA. Let me know if you'd be willing to buy, any offer. I'd be willing to drive up and meet halfway, if the price is right and I know you're serious. Also check back tomorrow, I will have the post completed. Pictures and all |

100% agree at a minimum you should expand your search to MD/DC/VA.
My preference was a LMB/IB E90 with DCT, and it took me a couple of months and missed opportunities locally to realize I had to do a national search to find what I wanted, where I ended up finding my car in Ohio. For 6MT cars with the preferences you listed, there are at least 10 guys actively pursing the same car, so you must be willing to expand your search out to at least 500 miles and be ready to pounce with funds in hand.

Don't limit yourself to one area of the country. I bought my 2011 e92 from a listing in this forum forum - the car/seller was located in San Fran and I am in Delaware.
Like you, I had very specific wants in the car - 6MT, cloth seats, no nav, no EDC. Searching nationwide still took me many months to find the right spec at the right price. Unicorns don't get listed very often. Once I found the unicorn I pounced as quick as I could. I made contact with the seller, agreed on a PPI at BMW of San Fran, the tech who performed the PPI called me directly, answered all my questions and I felt comfortable with buying an e92 M3 sight unseen. The seller and I worked out a payment arrangement - I wired him half the funds, he overnighted the title with parcel tracking. Once I received the title, I wired him the remaining balance and scheduled the vehicle transportation truck to pickup my new car 10 minutes after the wire transfer was completed (this took some coordination on my end). 5 days later it arrived in my driveway. Shipping was $975. Don't let that cost prevent you from your dream car. I know I didn't. 3.5 years and 60k of my own miles later and there are no regrets; only maintenance bills |

An E92 6MT below 80k in your preferred colors is absolutely the "Golden Ticket" and will be very tough to find for less then $30k
I like that your are patient and waiting for the right car, but my guess is your window is closing for paying the "right price". The vaccine by the summer will be rolled out to enough folks that the economy will start to rumble back to life and prices and interest rates will begin to rise. So my suggestion is to double down your efforts the next 60 days and open up your search as much as possible. As my search stretched out and I lost a few cars to more aggressive buyers, I began to care less and less about the color and options, and more about the owner and the care he put into the car. Once I found the right one (owner and car) , I acted decisively and was very fortunate to come away with a great car. Good luck!

Lemans blue, palladium silver with brushed Aluminum interior, CF roof Premium Package Convenience Package No Cold weather package but has heated seats option - I love the enthusiast touch of skipping on the headlight washers No ZCP but has EDC option and satin black M359's M-performance CF rear spoiler, M-performance black kidneys Bone stock, just the way I like it. Planning to keep it the same way, probably go just as far as OEM+. |

I must concur with CravingBavaria: I'm somewhat stunned how good the satin black M359's pop against the LMB!
Note to self: Find out how much it would be to powder coat my knock off M359's satin black My car also has no ZCP but does have EDC, and also no cold weather but does have heated seats ... coincidence? Fantastic pickup and more details are appreciated ... congrats! Quote:
