I have installed new Hawk HPS 5.0 pads in th front and followed the bed in procedure on the box. I have had them for over 6k kms already and today took a look at the rotor after some heavier braking and saw this. It looks like about 3cm of rotor have no contact with pads. What should I do?

That's not totally uncommon, but if you have some spare time this weekend, maybe pop the pads out and make sure they're seated correctly. If the piston is slightly seized, for example, it won't be pushing on the pad evenly.

Some pads simply don't go all the way to the edge by design, but that's only like a few mm. Yours looks like way more.

Is this happening on both sides or just one? Like dparm said, make sure the pads are seated correctly in the caliper guides. Hawk usually chamfers the sides to cut down on noise, but it's possible they (intentionally or otherwise) put a chamfer on the top of the pad, though after 6k miles it definitely should have worn off. It's also possible you got some grease on there very recently, and it's preventing the pad from grabbing that part of the rotor.

Thanks for all your answers.
This is visible on both sides.
I am sure I got the right pads for the car according to Hawk specification.
I am having my car serviced tomorrow so I will ask them to look at the pads and correct them if neccessary. I bed them with hawks recommendation, you can see it below. I did it a few kilometers after installation (like 50-100).
Is it a good idea to try to bed them in again?

Your calipers are probably jacked up. Check your dust boots for cracks which can cause the piston to not behave correctly.

My rears were doing this right before I completed my bbk, and the calipers were most likely not pressing straight due to the boots taking a dump.

I doubt re-bedding will do anything else. The fact that you've been driving on them for a few thousand miles means they've already been bedded.

right. this is not an issue of bedding in pads. this is a caliper issue. i don't know a lot about these single piston sliding calipers, but either the piston is sticking, guides, or dust boots are causing an issue.

If the brakes are seeing high temps from track usage, they will need to be rebuilt far more often. Things will seize, leak, etc.

If they're just street driven, they still wear out over time. This is why the aftermarket is alive and well with rebuild kits or just entirely rebuilt calipers. Any competent shop should be able to pop the rotor and pads out to inspect the caliper for proper operation.
