Quick Intro
I posted while back when I was going back and forth between a coupe and a sedan. I decided to go with the coupe as it had much lower mileage (16k vs 50k) and I don't particularly need a 4 door car.
I apologize as I don't have good pics of the car, plus the car is filthy as it has been through the New England winter (apparently not over yet). It is a 2012 e92 ZCP DCT, one owner, clean carfax car with only 16k miles which I pretty much bought sight unseen. I immediately took it to a BMW dealer for service hx and also to get an oil change. The PO barely drove it but kept up with maintenance. I then took it to a reputable independent BMW shop and had a "post" purchase inspection. I was told by the shop that this was one of the cleanest sample they've seen. I've been fortunate to have had owned or driven various performance cars, including F80 M3 which I owned for 6 months in 2015. It was my first M car and I had very high expectations for it. Unfortunately, it fell short on many aspects and I thought I would never go back to an M. I have been enjoying my 2017 lightly modified Golf R which I still love, and decided to give BMW another try. I prefer the shape of e90 over e92 overall, but went for less mileage, better condition. I do wonder if I should've waited for a low mileage e90. Does anyone have more than one e9x in his/her garage? Does it even make sense (probably not)? |

Welcome. Where in Boston are you? I am just north of the city.
There are a few members that have multiple e9x m3's. I believe most have a e93 vert and either a coup or sedan though. Yea the winter here won't quit that for sure. What color is the car? Any mods? |

Welcome and congrats to the car! Love my Sedan but I'd definitely do the same as you and pick the lower mileage/better shape Coupe. And if no need for the 4 doors, you'll learn to love in no time.

Nice! I'm doing almost the same thing with my purchase. 2012 E92 ZCP with 36k miles arriving here in about 3 weeks. This is a Carmax car so only on the hook for $1k transfer fee if it's a dud. I saw a ton of photos and checked Carfax but haven't seen it in person. Planning to go straight to dealer as well for records and oil change then post inspection also. Glad it worked out for you!

If it wasn't for my kid, I would probably be in an E46 M3 since the 4 door thing is why I wanted to switch cars. I'm glad my kid came along or I may not have ever got in the S65.

Melbourne Red, Interlagos Blue, and Le Mans Blue are all acceptable options. Black BMWs are boring.
