Another speeding ticket thread.
Hi everyone! Had a quick question regarding a ticket I got in Rhode Island. I'm a NYS licensed driver and got pulled over doing 65 in a 55. I know points won't transfer over to NY and the cop told me Rhode Island won't report the ticket to NY or my insurance, but I'm wondering how accurate that statement is and whether or not I should get a lawyer and fight it. I haven't gotten a moving violation in almost 2 years.
Any advice? Thanks!

That's an annoying ticket but what are you gonna do. I'd say just pay it and be done with it. It's only 10mph over, even if it did transfer it wouldn't be the end of the world. I don't think it will transfer though. It would be annoying to have to drive all the way back, go to court etc, if you chose to fight it.
