looks about right, Audi/Mini/Smart/VW sucking it up, BMW a bit below average, Toyota/Lexus miles ahead pulling up the average haha...that's why my other vehicle is a Tundra.
kinda shocked to see GMC and Hummer that high |

on the GMC and Hummer...I am equally suprised although the last two GM vehicles my father law own (still have) have 600K (S10 pick up regular maintenance and changed water pump once) and 200K (Trailblazer...regular maintenance) and he drives normal. Hummer on the OTOH...

I had a Toyota Tacoma a few years ago. Never had a ptoblem with it for the 80k miles I had it. When it comes to Toyota's reliabilty though, it's good to keep in mind, that they are very behind in innovations compared to other brands. They keep their powertrains practically unchanged for many years, throughout various models. Their sales rely on reliability, but their models lack a lot in many other things, compared to the competition.

Did you have a G35S? I found the OEM sport suspension a really good compromise between sporty and comfortable. If my G35 had a better clutch and a little more power I'd probably still be driving it.

their reliability is amazing, but the truth is because really their powertrain has been the same for the past 10000 yrs early this year I was looking into purchasing a 4runner new, this vehicle still has 4.0L 5 speed auto which was found yrs and yrs ago..and not even HID lights or keyeless as an option, I mean the Corolla has LED headlights Tacoma finally came out with a new engine + 8-AT recently

Seems pretty dumb to rank a car by model an not break it down by generation, at very least... The rankings my make (aggregated) can tell you something, but they really need to break model rankings by year (like Consumer Reports) or generation.

Toyota innovates behind the scenes and when they bring something to market, it works. They don't put their powertrain products out there for sale in beta (usually, there are some exceptions like the final celica/MR2 engines). Honda has a similar philosophy.
BMW on the other hand...lol the list of public-sale beta tests is nearly as long as the list of engine codes
