And definitely with traction control off! No computer intervention is necessary on a dry and straight road.

I'm do lift during shifts, so it's not a "legit" power shift, but it's certainly quicker than most. Didn't have a chance to drive the car this weekend so I'll give it a shot this week.

If I was tracking this car like I did my e46 M3, the MDM mode would certainly get in my way and I would not use it... I don't track my e92 M3 and I drive it a lot so its kinda a DD, even though I don't drive it everyday... MDM helps me save my tires and keeps me out of trouble! Since moving to Florida the only fun I get to have is all straight line runs now, but I gotta have fun somehow... But if I was doing canyon runs or on the track I would turn everything off...

Yea I noticed that also if you shift under 8k on first there is a slight lag but I'm not dragging people so doesn't matter but yea right at 8k I found is the best time to shift for maximum acceleration and smoothness to the next gear.

I have been shifting at the 8k mark and it certainly has improved the 1-2 shift; much quicker and easier gear change for sure...
