ZCP = Euro MDM?

Just read in a post here that the ZCP competition package has the Euro MDM settings enabled vs the North America (more conservative) settings. Can anybody validate this? Someone like Mike B would surly know.

I have read BMW literature that ZCP allows for more track oriented MDM - but did not know that meant we got the Euro Tune MDM.

Negative. All US spec M cars I've seen come with MDM US set to active

Wrong, zcp cars have the us_car value nicht-acktiv from factory, but the car value as us car. It gives more slip. Then again all of this can be coded for the cost of a coding cable.
To the op, zcp is worth it as edc is amazing.

There is 2 more values you need to change for euro mdm. I was wrong, sorry.
