LUX H8 Install

I know people say these are easy to install, and I swear I am not retarded, but I can't get past the first freaking step! The round piece that covers the headlight, "twist that to remove'. THERE'S NO WAY it's that simple, I have been fucking with it for an hour and have had NO LUCK what so ever!

Are you talking about the cover that you have to remove to access the angel eye bulb? If so there's a slot that you put a flat head screwdriver in and just pop it up. Once you have access to the bulb just turn it and out comes the bulb. The difficult part is installing the LUX H8. Its really long so you have to angle it down and in.

YES! That's what I figuered, i tried a flat head screw driver, but not too much, since I didn;t want to break it. It's kinda lame that the instructiosn do not address this. Just says twist and remove. Going to go try it again.

There's 2 slots, an inner and outter. Do it on the outter slot and twist that beeatch up. That should work. If not use 2 flat heads, 1 for the inner and 1 for the outter. Now double penetrate that beeatch and pop it out goddammit!!!
I was in LA last week. I would've done it for you.

Ok, so I got the cover off, now I'm lost again. These instructions for the E90 LCI are pretty cut and dry.

Forget the instructions, just look straight down and you'll see an H8 bulb. Now turn the bulb left or right, whichever way it is to loosen it and take it out. This is the easy part. Getting the LUX in is the b1tch part.

PS - If its the E90 LCI 3 series than its a totally different headlight than the E9x M3's

Yeah, like an ass I've been looking at the E90 LCI instructions since I have an '09 E90 M3. I got it now, thanks.

Pretty easy I guess, though the in order to put the passanger side lights in you ahve to have the hands of a small Asian girl, which sadly I am not.

Garage List
Glad you finally got them installed.

the install instructions are listed as " Instructions for E92 Coupe and E90/E92/E93 M3",

Ya, its quite tight in there, so luckily you only need to get inside there once to get them installed.

Yeah they look great. I guess I was so excited to get them, before I left work I just printed the E90 install instructions out and went home, didn't even look for the M3 install instructions.

Cold Weather pkg in LA, pretty useless huh? Actually, when I woke up today and drove to work I got the below 37 degree warning and my thermometer said 32 degrees! Truth be told, the car I originally ordered didn’t have the cold weather pkg, but I wasn’t able to make a deal on it since it was a ’10 and remaining ‘09s they were more aggressive on. This car just came equipped with it. That and my wife LOVES heated seats
