Decorative seat stripe

To be very clear, I mean the center stripe on the top portion of the backrests for each seat: example

Can someone please tell me exactly how wide that stripe is?

The actual opening in my car is .75 inches which is 19.05mm.

Don't close! Now, I'm curious as to what you plan to do with this dimension? Do tell...

I'm in the process of swapping out my interior and refinishing the seats. I like the stripe as a decorative detail and I want to incorporate it into my design.

Love to see what it looks like and any good advice for doing this? I plan to do something similar.

It's still a work in progress so can't share any pictures yet.

Advice, though? Depends on exactly how and what you want to do but generally, lots of patience and planning. If you don't have an alternative car get ready to drive around like a bum with the interior stripped. Figure out exactly what you want to do before you do. Read up on how to disassemble all the various components and keep in mind that some of the things were never meant to be taken apart. DIY and MacGyver solutions will be needed.

If you have any more specific questions don't hesitate to ask
