the final drive is ~15% shorter so i have 15% more torque on the wheels.
of course this is an amount that you can feel significantly! the gearing fits pretty well to the hockenheim track and i still don't need the 6th gear at all.

Hey OP look's like you had a blast driving down the Hockenheim Ring

Funny thing though, before I bought my M3 E92 I found myself looking and looking over your M3 E92 built documentation...
I NEVER would have thought that I meet you here on this forum ...crazy!

Epic adventure.. .

One question: you say the gearbox is stock, but the high-rev high-pitch whine sounds like a straight-teeth gearbox? Or is there something else making that noise? The modded diff?

the gearbox makes these noises. i switched to a thicker oil (castrol transmax z) but this didn't help too much. the only mod i did in that area is a very light single mass flywheel. the gearbox itself is completely stock. the diff doesn't make noises.
of course the car has no sound deadening stuff inside, of course. so you really hear anything the car does quite loud.

Ab und an bin ich mit meinen Jung's auch am HHR.

Mensch würd so gern mal deinen dokumentierten E92 M3 Umbau mal in real sehen. Umgebautes Diff, Fahrwerk etc...wie sich der wohl gegenüber meinem fährt? wow...
