Konig: "Oh, so YOU'RE the one!!??"
I was working with CarMax for days on that car, trying to get it transferred cross country to me. LOL, it's all good, many congrats my friend.... I ended up picking up a similar car a bit closer to home. Best of luck, but I am still a bit jealous of that Speed Cloth! |

Would love to see photos of what you got, do you have a link? Tomorrow I plan to give the car its first wash, pull off all the Carmax stuff, and take some photos. |

I don't have any pics of my car up on photobucket yet, but it's another AW ZCP without a sunroof I wanted a more decontented car like you got but had to "settle" for leather and Nav. |

Malthusian - looks great! I'm very tempted on the carbon splitters.
Did the inaugural wash this weekend. 20 minutes to wash the car, 45 minutes to wash these beautiful damn wheels... Been trying to get used to the shifter/clutch in this car with mixed success. Jumped back in my Miata to run at Laguna Seca last weekend after a few days of M3 and couldn't believe how different it felt. The Miata clutch and brake were so hard/short that I thought something was wrong with my car... My initial theory is that the light flywheel on this quick-revving engine does not work well with a long and somewhat rubbery shift throw. By the time I've rowed all the way from 2 to 3 the revs have dropped past a smooth engagement point. Anyway, after reading up on the topic I bought an F10 M5 knob. My first mod! Hopefully I can install that next week and improve my shifting... Last edited by Konig; 09-10-2014 at 10:01 AM.. |

Honestly, buying from carmax guarantees something very important: No accidents or frame damage! Seriously they have good people that know when a car has been in an accident. I had a car that a stealership sold me that had been in an accident and they caught it on trade in immediately. They dont sell the ones with damage they auction them off. Car looks great congratulations!!

I guess I'll use this as a thread to post things about my car. Spent $10 on thread and stitched my shift and e-brake boots. Pretty pleased with the results and the $570 savings over IND's parts.
Unfortunately I nicked the leather of the boot in my carelessness, but it's minor and I don't really mind. Here's my plain old stripper interior. I'm on the lookout for a performance steering wheel and probably the CF trim to finish things up. Added splitters up front, my first and only cosmetic mod. Pretty pleased with how it sits! Roundie in the garage for brakes. Last edited by Konig; 11-16-2014 at 12:02 AM.. |
