20 inch wheel - Suspension options

I am thinking about upgrading to 20 inch wheels from 19 inch OEM. I have stock suspension with EDC currently. If I upgrade to 20 inch wheels am I going to have to change my suspension(coilovers/lowering springs) for it to look good? For reference the wheels I am considering are DPE SC5.

Probably. That is up to you. Offsets will make a difference. There are people on stock suspension with 20"s. Search the "aggressive fitment" thread or "rub /no rub index" thread for pics.

The word "upgrade" in not a good description for going with 20" wheels on an M3. The tire side-wall height, tire type options, tire sizing options, cost and performance are all a downgrade with 20" wheels on an M3.

I agree with Slicer, especially if you'll be tracking your car. I've always figured 19 inch will be perfect nothing bigger but my M3 is on it's second set of 20s now..... first a satin black BBS CH-Rs, and now BBS LM-Rs. I use it as a daily and occasional weekend back road twisties. The 20 inch BBS wheels are so sexy and looks perfect with a little drop on the dinan springs (even without coilovers or springs).

Really depends on what you're looking to do with your car. Track- Def 18 inch. Street car- really doesn't matter.

Btw, my 20 inch BBS CH-Rs in Satin Black in perfect condition are for sale very low miles! Pm me if interested
