I'm ready for some real driving impressions already!
Press cars going out in Europe in June?
June is next week. When will we get some real-world analysis of the new beast? Any buyers here know "when" they will be taking delivery? |

I have heard a mag will have a test drive in June but Scott26 said, "The press drives will take place in Jerez, Spain in mid-July and I will be on hand to handle the marketing questions." Couldn't find the post about the June thing (btw the search function on the board is terrible....). |

I wrote a fake comparison between the RS5 and M3 a week ago..
Here it is- "The RS5 is surprisingly only slighty faster than the M3 to 60 and in the 1/4mi, we attributed this to the Audi's heavier curb weight. However, this writer finds the M3 to be the better handling car. Despite being more balanced than most Audis, the RS5 still likes to nose dive in corners. The M was faster through the cones and held the skidpad much better than the Audi. And, although faster than the M3, the RS5 lacks the raw feel that has always made an M3 so much fun to drive. The track test, as the results show, confirmed our suspicions that the M3 is the better race car of the two. The RS5 is a huge step up for Audi but remains more of a gentlemens car rather than the rock and roll M3" Audi RS5 Highs- Flawless design inside and out. Loads of power throughout rev band. Lows- Pricey. Another Audi we wish was better balanced Verdict-This is the Audi to get if you cant afford an R8. BMW M3 Highs- Ferocious sounding engine and great handling at a relatively great price. Lows- Love it or hate styling throughout Verdict- M3 remains the performance coupe to own. Jason

Pretty much spot on, maybe I won't say the RS5 will be flawlessly designed inside out, but more like another Audi sedan derivative... how about the E92 M3 vs C63?
