This was my exact question.

Very sick car though! Like others have said takes a lot of balls to strip a brand new m3.

What tracks do you run on?
What did you have before the M3?

I agree with that....actually when I was there they told me that they were going to be installing Recaros on a customers car....Your car looks awsome, I would just cover the rear with cloth so all those wires and metal will not show...

Also if you can tell us the weight of the stock seats would be great, I'm also looking to buy Recaros, Im thinking you saved about 100lbs just by changing the seats?

Man..that is extreme. Is this your daily driver or a track only car? If the former, maybe you could carpet over the back of the interior for a cleaner look (if you care of course).

He prolly saved at least 100 lbs by replacing the seats. OP said they were about 70 each (estimating). I would believe that too, those things got all sorts of motors and crap in them.

OP, looks good. Let us know how she handles at the track.

LOL. There is no comparison!

They are two completely different animals! One is a track car that you can street, one is a street car that you can track.

The GT3 is a very viceral car...you feel every bump and imperfection in the road. The feedback is amazing.

The M3 is a very insulated car. although the feel is good for a street car, it doesn't even compare to the GT3. they are so complete opposites, it really is not fair to compare them at all.

I say, go drive a 6GT3.....see for yourself! It really depends what you want in a car. If you want a track star, go for a 6GT3, Ariel Atom, Radical, or something along those lines! If you want a trackable street car, I think you already have the best one!

The reason I sold the GT3 is that I wanted a car more designed for the street, that I could track. I wanted to get away from the "track car I COULD drive on the street". There were many reasons for my decision....but, I think I made the best choice possible by going for the M3.

Sick!

Light is right, I plan on doing the same with the addition of a light weight board/cover (kinda like the the C63 black edition).

Also whats your weight savings guess on the removal of the rear seats?
Did you corner weigh your car? You should get a 50/50 with those coilovers.

Sick!! Chics love strip cars!

Unique's Bad A$$ M3

Hi Unique,

I saw your car at Sam's last week while they were installing the Recaros. Good job on the car.

BTW, I'm sorry, but the stock 18s will definitely NOT fit over Brembo 380mm 6/4 BBK. I'm still doing research to find 18" wheels that WILL work. I'm ordering my BBK this week. I have a set of 18" TE37s I'm hoping will work. My template and measurements say maybe, Mackin says they won't work. So far, I know of two 18" wheels that will work.

Keep up the good work.

Bob

hhahaha i was about to response to that lol, nobody freaking asked if he was on national level or texas cowboy level, i think that "retards" in texas still have not heard the saying " if you can't say anything positive, don't say anything at all" btw what kind of national level are you on cowboy horse riding or go kart racing ??? i hate negative people like you.

*apologies to other forum members, i just don't like people who are negative, when the OP didn't even ask for his opinion !!
