Agreed. I can't get to those speeds on my local track but have done several speed limited V-max's and unless I were on an A-bahn w/ some more aero I would be disinclined to push much over 160.

yes, you all are correct, at those speeds the aero really come into play. The front doesn't feel as planted. I'm not so worried about the back. That is one of the reasons that i didn't get a chance to do a vid, it gets kind of windy here in the fall, and with wind, i hesitate to go over 180mph.
What are the gears on the M3? I have stock 18's, and it's a 6 speed manual. While yes i agree speedo is not an accurate measurement, it's still nice to say i hit 200mph... I'm most certain that i am officially in 300kph club (GPS), which is already cool! |

I think I got to 166mph according to my GPS during euro delivery. It was right near Darscheid close to the ring. I'll see if I still have info. My gps stores the max speed.

In a dream...my M3 hit 186mph speedo speed. No GPS or Vbox to confirm exact speed
This was a one time thing. Should never happen again. Mods were OE tune with limiter removed (obvious), AA HFC Xpipe, MS Filter, MS Pulley Never done 200+...and don't plan on it

The funny thing is this car handles speed so well it's almost disorientating. In a good way. Like I no I'm going fast but between listening to the engine, watching out for others and genuinely marvelling at the car I forget to look at the speedo and/or the readout.

I hit 192 mph (speedo reading) about a year back. I would not recommend this for anyone as the car veers form side to side even when you hold the wheel as firm as you can.

Yup. 320kph is about 198mph which is about what the speedo reads at 180actual mph. The M driver's package has a 178mph limiter. Makes sense to me
