Good deal or no?
Hey guys, had an 08 m3, which i traded for a 2010 GTR. Miss the M and I am looking to go back into one.
Found a 2008 e92 with 35k miles, 6MT, 19 inch wheels, CF roof, Nav, Novillo leather, cold weather. Price is $49k. It is CPO. Is this a good deal, a bad deal or a great deal? Any advice? Only downer on appearance is it has front plate drilled already Thanks! |

I don't think they will go down anymore. Car had been priced at 53k for a while, they brought it down to 51k. Went in and they said 49k, i told them it was still too high... I'll go in with a check and see if perhaps 49k OTD can be done.... Any other advice?

Just stopped selling my '08 with every single option, only 8K miles, 2 years left of warranty, and immaculate condition because I couldn't get the $47K I wanted, meaning there're probably others selling for less. Paying $49K for an '08 sitting in a freaking lot (for who knows how long) with 35K miles would be insane IMO. I'd MUCH rather buy from an original owner with almost 2 years left of warranty at a much lower price and mileage than a certified car, but to each his own. Look around on eBay, autotrader, cars.com, and mota.com, and I bet you find what you want much cheaper and from a private seller. Good luck.

Although I realize I probably cant trust the dealer, he stated they own it for 62k. I'm torn because the 2011 is exactly spec'd to what I want but I'd like to make are I'm not getting ripped off.

better financing, original owner, 2011.75, it's your car for a 2008, you should get it for 47k. it'll be a good price :P if they don't budge off 49k, try to have them throw in BMW Performance stuff then

Ok, so from what I've gathered from you guys, the 08 is a bad deal and the 2011 is a very mediocre deal. I cannot get the dealership lower on the 08 so I'm walking away for good on that one. I'll see what they say on the 2011 tomorrow. If they don't go down to around 60k, I may go for a new 2011.
I found one I like nearby, MSRP is 70k. What is a realistic number for a new one then? Same options as the used ones I've mentioned. |

That's an okay deal. I just picked up my 2008 E92 last Tuesday. Mine is CPO with less miles and was $46k. Rather than listen to all these opinions, go look on Cars.com and see what comps are selling for.
Un Limited, CPO is 6 year (from build date) or 100k miles. Good luck with the search. |
