HDMI to Video/Nav Screen?

Did a search but could not find an answer. I've got Droid X that has micro HDMI out and there is a new Android app that will display the video and play the sound to an external screen. Does anyone know of any solution that can create and HDMI input to the display? It would be cool to view the phone screen on the M3 Nav screen, but not sure how one would go about navigating the menus. Would be really cool if there was a way to use the Idrive. Wishful thinking, I guess

Thanks in advance.

Thanks, I'm looking into that and will let you know if it can work.

Cheers!

It will work, you just can't control it via the idrive. You'll have to use your phone to control the contents of the display, so in essence, your phone will be acting as a touchscreen remote control.

Very true.

Aleks - when will there be a box for HDMI input? The day that happens I'll install it and an appletv so I can wirelessly mirror my phone's screw to the idrive screen.
