A lap around CMP ...

I did my second track day at CMP last week.

Here is a video of one of my laps. I actually think I got a bit faster later, but my memory card was full.

I have a long way to go but I am having fun learning.

Hi Ashley,
Looks pretty good. You're early on some of those corners and too far away from the apex on others, however, it looks like you're pretty safe which is really the main thing. I can tell you with a bit more experience you'll see 10 mph more out of the carousel, the kink and the front straight.

Look at your g's when you are braking, they start low and get higher. You want them to be high right off the initial hit and then taper off.

What I've found is the kink is fastest when taken as a big wide arc completely avoiding the bump. Probably time to go to another track and gain some new skills and try what you've learned on a different track.

Looks like fun. Lots of tight corners on that track.

Consequently it destroys brakes.

From your sig it looks like you have a big brake kit, is this correct? Are you running ducting? What pads were you running?

Yeah I have a ST Trophy kit with 355mm rotors and 4-pot calipers front/back. I am using the standard ST street/track sport pads. No ducting.
