Dealer Has New '08 M3 Sedan Silver/Red!

I went by my dealer yesterday to pick up my plates, and he told me that they do have one more '08 M3 left. It's a silver sedan with red interior with a six-speed manual and 19's. I don't know what the sticker on the car is, but he said that they're VERY motivated to get rid of it! If you're interested, call Pete Daia at Alderson BMW in Lubbock, TX. Why would the dealer mail the plates to me when I live 5 miles from them? I've never had plates mailed to me on any car that I've purchased locally. I don't know how they do it in CA, but the plates get mailed to the dealership in Texas. I'm just passing along the info in hopes that a fellow forum member can benefit. I'm sorry that it's hard to comprehend that people are willing to help for nothing in return. Y'all are too smart for me. I'm really a sales guy at the dealership. Good work guys. The reruns of Law & Order paid off.

If I knew what they'd sell the car for I'd tell everyone! If someone is interested enough they'll call. If not, then they won't.

I honestly think some people are pissed off about the deals people are getting on 08 leftovers. Especially those that paid MSRP when they were the new hot thing.

Do you think he'll meet the same deal he gave you on the coupe? In that circumstance, I'd be interested in the sedan although I had my heart set on the coupe.

Honestly, you don't know until you try. They said that the deal on the sedan wont be as good as the deal I got on my coupe, but the sedan stickers for $3000 less than my coupe. So, technically matching the $49900 price would not be as much as the percentage off that I received. $49900 certainly was not where the negotiation started, but that's where it ended up. Figure out what that price is in your head that will make you okay with having a sedan and give them a call with the offer. The worst they can do is say no!

I called Pete. He didn't call back the same day which is fairly rare for a car dealer in this climate. Let's see how willing he is to call today, but I doubt he's very motivated to sell it at the same discount.

How can you even dare to expect a deal CLOSE to Trevor .. don't you know he is the ONLY ONE in the world that pull of a deal like that on an M3 @ Alderson.

Didn't you know .. Trevor D did a hypnosis session on them which convinced them that if they sell it to him at $49,900 (the best deal in the country) ... they would all go to heaven and be nursed by lovely maidens when they die.

If you really want to help ... why don't you post your sticker (with the last half of the VIN blotted out) and sales sheet with the Alderson BMW letterhead and the appropriate signatures (with any names and signatures half blotted out as well). Let the folks out there then use that to go back to Alderson as you suggest and get that sedan for the price you paid (or close to it).

I agree it must be fun laughing to all the naive folks who actually believed it was possible to get a brand new //M3 for the price you paid and ended up prob. wasting hours searching and calling across the country for such a price point only to be laughed at.
