BMW Performance seats are manufactured by Recaro, with airbags/alcantara features added and offer no additional weight savings over OEM seats. Also - the seats are not compliant with US occupancy sensors.

The Macht Schnell OC3 emulators will get around the error messages.

Very different since you're comparing a reclining seat vs fixed shell. PPs will be about 12lbs lighter but the Sportsters win in the comfort dept and grant easier access to the backseat.

If looking for a fixed shell - the Profi XL would be a larger version of the Pole Position, but not available in leather.

A good start would be to find out your height/build are as the PPs harness cutouts are intended for shorter drivers. Feel free to PM me your info when you have the time.

The RECARO Young Sport model works OK with the LATCH connectors in the rear seat of my 08 E90 M3. The baby is quite happy in the seat and I like the lateral head restraint.

The seat is just a bit too wide to make is easy to "cinch back" the seat evenly, allowing for the small bit of interference with the OE seat belt receiver. Also, if you pull it down/back tight enough, it tends to yank out the plastic surrounds for the LATCH "doggie door". I chose to remove these doors/flaps before they get broken in the up position.

Its tricky enough that you won't want to remove and replace too frequently... But if you are M3 dad who wants the least dorky baby seat possible, I think this is really the only choice.
