After the update I would say the M3 DCT is near enough perfect. But to pick it over the C63 means you are more interesting in pushing the car that bit harder because to get the best out the M3 that is what's required, the C63 is really good from any revs.

They weren't particularly enamored of the DCT on the street, though. Still a little lacking compared to a good torque converter from rest. The slightly lumpy launch characteristics of the two DSG cars I drove seemed a lot like what R & T described for the DCT. What do you think? Bruce |

I recently traded cars with a friend of mine who has the new C63. I have the E92 M3.
They really are entirely different cars. If I was buying a 4 door sedan and was primarily taking passengers, especially on long trips, I'd consider the C63. It's fast, got a great ride quality, and the seats are fantastic. I haven't driven the 4 door M3, but imagine it would be a lot like my car, which is more sport than touring. I bought my M3 primarily as a sports car that I could put passengers in. It is a much better sports car than the C63. After driving my car my friend wished he'd bought the M3 instead of the C63. As to the DCT setup, I just upgraded mine to the latest software. You can call it an automatic, but even with the old software, the car really wanted to be shifted manually. It works even better now. |

ceeeee 63.. if your not going to row your own gears, you might as well save money and have a beast of an engine instead. the exhaust note from the amg is to die for..

Both cars have beastly engines, each in their own right. One is neck braking torque. The other is exhilerating high rpm.

both are sick cars. AMG is a torque monster....M3's acceleration at higher RPM's seems endless. C63 looks very aggressive (love the exhuast), but really not a fan of its overall design...then again it is a sedan..., I think the M3 has better lines and its much sleeker..just IMO. Wish I could have both....went with the M3 though. Still the best in my book!!
Although the C63 is a close second.
