Hey guys,
So my next mod is an amuse trunk but while I'm at it idk if I should lower my car on h & r sport springs ( which I bought but still deciding if I should instal with winter coming around and the fact I'm in NY/NJ) and add spacers (12/15) OR go for some OSS lights with blacked out headlights. I only want to choose one for this year and will save the next as either a christmas present to myself or wait till next spring Just wanted to hear some opinions on what stands out more and what people chose first. Eventually I plan to have both of these mods done.

Well in socal no doubt. In N. Jersey probably not the first thing that comes to mind unless it's not your DD. I would probably consider a winter wheel setup +/- spacers and then OSS.

It is my DD but if there's ever any snow, I'll have other ways of getting around. I've never seen a lowered M in person so I don't know how it stands out. I have seen OSS lights on person and it cleary captures my attention.

Well....then I say drop it and add some spacers. Mostly because I want to see pictures of what mine would look like!

Do both. Used springs go for only like 200 or less on here and do the OSS. You won't regret either.

I bought the springs new for $200. Spacers I'm seeing go close to $100 each and then there's labor which I was quoted at 2-3 hrs so that $200-300. I didn't want to go over my budget for this year

[QUOTE=THE TECH]Not for spacers, for springs. While they're at it with springs they'll do the spacers no charge. I don't think I'll be able to handle springs...

+100
It also takes MAX 30-45 mins (more like 15-20 mins) to put spacers on a car.

I'd personally do the drop first.
The OSS lights will be awesome but I think a drop would have a better "cool factor" |

Drop it but with Eibachs, that's what I did and I drive my car all year long in Québec, the ride is perfect even on rough road! It's not the best car in the snow but not because of the drop!
P.s. Don't waste your money on a trunk, get the performance spoiler and splitters instead, it's cheaper and it gives a better overall look! IMO |

I don't like the Amuse trunk, I agree with Kwando on the statement that it doesn't flow with the car.
I also don't like the Performance CF splitters and spoiler either, not that the parts look bad. The car has enough CF on the roof, it starts looking a little aftermarket / add-on. For me the biggest cosmetic upgrade is to lower the car on some springs, add some spacers and do a window tint. But that's just me. That is what I will do to my car as soon as she arrives. |
