Gas gauge and horn

Posted this in the wrong forum:

I've had the E90 for two weeks now and everything that I was a bit concerned about the car I've grown to really like. Really wanted iDrive and now I'm even rethinking about not getting an integrated DD navi unit. Didn't really like the sycamore wood trim but I'm really loving it now.

Anyway, saw something weird with the gas gauge yesterday. Went to my parents which is about 15 minutes away. When I left I had just over half a tank left. Halfway to my parents it dropped to almost 3/8ths of the tank. Started to get a bit more conservative with my driving and by the time I got to my folks the gauge was pretty much at half the tank. Wondering If there's something wrong with my gauge.

And for such an aggressive looking car, does this ever have a wimpy horn. My wife kept laughing at it yesterday. And today when I got cut off, almost honked my horn but thought twice about it as it wouldn't really have been 'making my point' with it.

Anyone else think the horn is kinda wimpy?

About the horn issue, i was about to call bmw the other day to ask them about it! I use to drive a 335 and the horn sounded normal, and a couple days ago i honked with my M3..and i will never honk with it again. I thought the horn was broken when i heard it

Haha me too... I got cut off today and I was about to honk my horn and I thought better of it. My wife couldn't stop laughing at me.
