I live in San Diego, ordered my car from an LA dealer and am paying MSRP, exactly. I simply got on their list early and I demanded that price at the time and they simply said that is how they sell their cars.

That's great! I just think that the M3 is somewhat overpriced, you can get an 06 M5 with low miles for about 55K on eBay. I just keep wondering how low today's M3 will be in 12 months, perhaps 35-40K for the cars worth 70K today and 29-37 K for cars around 55-60K today, with the economy heading down, I think I gone wait the next few months for great discounts before I get my hands on one of these babies. Just my 02. cents. |

Well we are getting way OT but here is my 2 cents on new M3 compared to used M5/M6:
M3 is lighter, very close to as fast up to about 100 or so, will out handle/out track either one, comes with full warranty, has the new car/new model novelty factor, M-DCT could make it even faster in low end and closer in the high end. M5/M6 has the V10 status, "magic" 500 hp point and status. Great cars but not for me personally. |

My new dealer has been dragging his feet and I don't officially have the production code yet. He is supposed to be getting a 112 spot.
Monday will bring a very strong phone call to him. And he is the sales manager! Do you have a confirmed 112 OC?

To tell you the truth, I haven't seen any codes on the OC...I'm ashamed to say I don't know where to pull up those codes. I can tell you when I log onto the OC, it has the "scheduled for production" highlighted.

Ask for a copy of a vehicle inquiry report from your dealer. That will have the code on the top left. Or call the 800 number and pressure the rep to give you the code. Some say they can't do that, other just tell you, so you might need to call a few times... |

Starting to have second thoughts about the 18s if they are the dark finish. Still kinda miffed that with a Feb build you can't order 19's.
OC what is your estimated production date?

Congrats Epacy.
Just make sure the car isn't from the Courage.

I've been at 112 for a while...week 10 is what I've been told - best way to get this info is calling your CA - BMWNA doesn't seem to it on hand. |

The 19's are NOT on the order when I log into the OC. If this allocation wasn't already set w 2MT, I may well be in the same boat as you Ep...which means, yes, I will be going aftermarket.

I have 19"ers on order. The only reason I would consider going aftermarket is weight/rotational inertia reduction. 7lb-8lb per wheel is not bad with the BBS wheels. Yeah, I know I won't feel the difference, but I am kind of thinking about picking up weight reduction as a project here to see what can be done in total. Anyway, the problem is I haven't been able to find an exact spec for the weight of the stock 19"ers. South says about 13kg. I would like to know the exact spec. |
