Slicks or Semi Slicks for a 19"x10.5" wheel...

Obviously less than a 40% AR or I'll be hitting my fenders...

Favorite time of the year to hit the drag strip and my POS Hankook tire's can't hook for their life...

Are there slicks or semi-slicks for my wheels that will be effective. Obviously with a 35% aspect ratio, that will make it harder to hook up with less sidewall wrinkle. So I could prob fit a 40%...

I like the cost and ride quality of the Hankooks and dont want to pay for PSS all around, as I DO NOT auto-x my car. Just need some tires for a couple of drag runs...

Should I just buy some 18" OEM wheels for winter tires and throw some slicks on them for track day?

Sorry if this has been discussed...I've done a brief search and couldn't find anything specific on this?

Also should mention...

I should also mention I am a total newbie to RWD launching. Had FRD and AWD performance cars for 12 years now...Maybe I am just launching wrong, MDM mode helps a little but robs power all through 1st mostly through 2nd, and on my shft to 3rd...

I will also have a BPM tune and launch control by trackday,,,,

HELP...

Awesome input, I've been looking at those...You 6MT or DCT? Can you give me a basic overview of your launch technique?

6SP MAN. Ususally launch somewhere between 3-4k rpm, more slipping the clutch than dumping it. They grab like crazy, but also are stable at high speeds. My car is making near 600whp, and these tires hold it.

600whp

I hate slipping the clutch, but have noticed more than other cars i've owned the smell of a burning clutch is very mild...I'll try giving it some more slip. Thanks again!

Where did you get the tire lettering? That looks damn good.
