A stupid question...
But I'll ask it anyways.
I'm looking to step into another car and the M3 is one I've always wanted. I have been tracking one on autotrader for a week or two now, still a little expensive, but not bad. Here's my dumb question - is anyone bored with their M3? I used to have a 335i and I loved it. But towards the end of the lease, it no longer felt as powerful as it once did...probably true of any car...and I don't know, I still have great memories, but I was also ready for another car. So - anyone bored, no longer feel the rush? Or is it different? My friend has and E92 M3 and it seems like he is getting bored, he keeps talking about downgrading actually - just something cheap. I guess there's always an FI option too - I should do some research to see how well they stand up under FI from a reliability standpoint if its low boost. Anyone have FI cars here in Canada? |

Pretty subjective question. Some will feel the way that you have expressed others feeling while there are those that will love this car til the day they sell it. For me, I will always have to mod a car to continue loving it. I get bored easily, that's why I tend not to keep cars too long.

You should check out this car: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=781665. It's one of the best deals available on an E90 M3 here in Canada. The seller is well known on the forum, and a top notch guy.

Thanks Sawzall, I have seen that car and no doubt that the seller is top notch.
But I'm looking for an E92 specifically, not a sedan, I'd consider a vert, but not really preferred either, and one with under 40,000 km's (ie. relatively new). He has a good price though, I'm sure someone will be looking for the sedan. |

Good to hear the responses - I'm feeling better. Heading off to the autoshow in toronto today to look around at any other cars that catch my eye, but I'm really leaning towards the M3. Just have to convince my better half that I should spend that kind of money on a used car! |

If you're conscious about gas mileage forget the wonderful high revving V8 M3. I don't care about how fast the fuel gauge meter drops and when I need a bit of boost, the Circle M button on the steering wheel raises the energy level fast.
I'm keeping my M3, and few years ago I debated between and Evo X and M3. Had the Evo X for 2 years before the comforts of the M3 finally made me give in and get the car I finally wanted. And I DD my M3 all year round. Never turning back and never letting her go. |

This is my fourth year of ownership of my M3 and I' am still madly in love with it. There's nothing like the sound of that V8 going through my BMW performance exhaust.
On top of that, I've never had a repair or warranty issue with it. It just runs. In my opinion this M3 will go down in history as one of the best. |

That NA roar from the S65 is enough to keep me smiling. I don't see myself going FI any time soon (or at all?).. The M3 is a completely different machine than the 335i.

M3 is a great car. I have an E90 m3 & a E92 335xi. My only suggestion would be to get the m3 with a 6spd MT. I got DCT in my m3 & 6spd MT in my 335xi. You always enjoy shifting gears more. I regret not getting the m3 with a 6spd MT. . Some days I look forward to driving my 335i more then the M3 cause of the transmission, it keeps me more involved with the car & the AWD is allot of fun in the snow to. You will never get bored of an M3. Some of mine friends still love there E36 M3 & enjoy driving them everyday. |

Great to hear. I'm going to look at a space grey one on Saturday hopefully. I'm not sure about the colour yet, need to see it in person. Also have a black one I'm going to check out which is at the dealership.
J2m - I see you have the ESS package - that thing must rip! |
