do you drive mostly highway? b/c those numbers are impossible when you have more than say 30% city driving.

still amazed with 60-40. If I go easy, I would be at about 17 mpgs on a 60-40 mix.

Do you have 2013 car? or is your car tuned?

I averaged 23mpg with D2, cruise control at 70mph driving back from the performance center.

I averaged around 14mpg with S5 averaging 110mph on the autobahn.

hmm...

I have an 08 and I updated my factory DME software, I got a 2 mpg bump as a result. Benvo confirmed that the new software leaned out the mixture.

Thanks. I'll search for the tread.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

You are cheating if you get 70-75 MPG... Or you are reading instant MPG going down a hill - I get 99 that way.

Fuel consumption fellows as you all know depends on the way you drive our well engineerd car.

Drive it like you stole it, then be sure to ask your Navigation to highlight all the gas stations along the way.

Drive it just about 10% above the posted highway speeds and get excellent milage on this V8 automobile.

Last weekend I made a trip to Plymouth MI to the St Johns Inn Concourse d' Elegance and got just over 23 MPG ...

Getting >20mpg with an M3 is nothing to be proud of. In fact all those that posted those numbers above, you are forever shamed.

Best I got was on a road trip to Charleston (75-80 mph) that was right at 20 mpg. On average, I'm just below 16 and I'm not in stop-and-go traffic. My commute is 8.5 miles of twisty, two-lane rural road. Perfect commute for a M3 unless I get stuck behind somebody in no hurry to get anywhere. Nowhere to pass on that road.
