Nothing better than OBJECTIVE analysis, no doubt the reason my VT625 did so well against that P800 was because it had a few things going against it, as you described, on race gas he'd killed me.

I wanted the car to be there so bad, as did Roman and AJ at ESS, the car was ready on their part and they did everything they could up until the last minute to have it ready for this event, but the DCT is having some kind of issue, and they are going above and beyond to try and figure it out. Letting me drive the Arkym car was a lot of fun. I think Shiv's Single Turbo would have been tough to beat based on how he did against the cars there. Wish we could have gotten a run in.

I don't understand what you guys expect...Yes the Alpha 6 isn't anything special, and yes it was obvious that the VT-650 would win. However the second Video with the full bolt on GTR on stock turbos makes perfect sense. It comes of no surprise that this setup will provide more power than any bolt on supercharger kit does for an M3. Also keep in mind the varying torque between these two cars. The GTR most likely is making 150-200TQ more than the M3.

As much as we'd love for our M3's to be able to hang with High horsepower GTR's, its just going to take A LOT more than a basic bolt on kit.

Believe me, I too have been raped by a bolt on GTR making 590WHP LOL!!! And the worst part is, now he's Alpha 9!

Wow it's rare to see a GTR on the losing side.

All of the GTR's "even stock" at the event were fast. The high HP GTR's were killing it. A 8.5 PSI supercharged M3 should get beat by a Alpha 9 GTR. Anyone who thinks this is a fair comparison has a very skewed perspective. For a supercharged M3 to run with a 700+ HP GTR you would need to do a low CR built motor high boost setup like our VT3. The VT2-650 kit shown was run at this event on a mix of 91 octane and 100 to simulate 93-94 octane. This is how it would perform for the average customer on the street. We did not do any special setup on this M3.

I think considering the cars it beat and were beaten by it did very well. I have lots of video I need to send to Drew so he can post it up. Im working on it now

Some good analysis there, but I would say going 10's and 130 traps is special.

The 590whp GTR in that vid you posted, my VT625 pulled on it, of course his Alpha 9 now would be no contest!

FWIW the Red GTR in the 2nd video that pulled on the VT650 by a few cars did this to some other cars at the event, he's a very good friend of mine. This might put a bit more perspective on how fast the Red GTR in the vid is. Considering what he did to these cars, I'd say the VT650 did extremely well.

Same 458

This white GTR has slightly modified turbo's and the Red GTR still had not trouble pulling away.

The VT625 vs P800 is in this video. The M3 is pretty quick even against the P800
I love this closed course south of the border... I think I've been on this road a few times while on vacation.

I would expect that heavily modded M3 to keep up and definitely pull on an Alpha 6. Hell, most used GT-Rs on the market you pick up at dealers are pretty much "Alpha 6's" if they left the tune and exhaust from the previous owner lol.

How many M3's here have an air filter, tune, and exhaust? A lot.....

$ per $ is a whole different story. Switzer P800 package was dropped to $14k right now and that includes the full enclosed car shipping.

Definitely a GORGEOUS M3 and lots of time put into it.

How was this M3 ran (and the majority of supercharged M's for that matter) ? Was it in S6 or S5 with MDM on? Sometimes I find running in S5 with MDM on is quicker for me because I get a lot less wheel spin as opposed to S6. Just curious what other M drives find to be best.
