DTC button set to on.

Hey guys,

Everyone I start my car, the DTC is off. How can I set it to "on" at start up? It's kind of unsafe to have it off cause the tail can just slide lol!

That's the engine start-stop feature. Mine defaults to "off" on startup as well, thankfully.

The DSC on/off is by your shift lever.

That's just auto start and stop. It turns off the engine when you come to a stop... Unless you are very concerned with saving a negligible amount of fuel I wouldn't worry about it.

Light on = auto stop on. Turn it off every morning, no reason for the S65 to keep go off/on. If you read the manual you see there are a number of conditions for it to work such as outside temp, manual mode, battery voltage etc.

Cheers

As mentioned above that's the Auto-start/stop feature.
Model year 2011+ is equipped with that button.
Quite a pointless and annoying feature on an M-car but thankfully its defaulted to off for US cars at least.

I think you have this backwards. When the light is illuminated the engine will not display start/stop behavior. See page 25 of the owner's manual.
