jack stand fitting \ placement

I have a 2010 M3 - Love the car. being I live in the northeast I replace my summer wheels with winter snows. With my prior car and in the past with this car, I placed the the floor jack under the standard plastic fitting (sockets) for the bmw jack. With my old car this worked fine, but in my new car the plastic appears to be weaker and has deformed and cracked. Can these plastic jack stand sockets be easily replaced and equally important where do you recommend I place my floor jack to avoid this problem going forward.
Thanks

The question that I have is, what do you do about jack stands? If you were to jack up the rear via the diff and then wanted to support the rear with stands, how would you do that?

Maybe I'm missing the question, but you just jack up the rear using the differential, then place the jack stands at each rear lift point. I use a hockey puck on top of the jack stand cradle, which fits well against the plastic lift point attachments.

Buy the blemished one direct from the source. They are not blemished at all.

I own two and they are great.

Cheapest to the door solution.

What type of jack stands do you use? Mine look like this:

Yeah me too would be great to have something with a knob on top that fits the car jack point and a wedge on bottom to interface with the jackatands......

After I had ruined my rear jack pads, I finally got my jack pad adapters from:
http://burgertuning.com/BMW_jack_pad_adapter.html

...the cheapest I have found so far.
