i have that happened to me, i tend to drive normal pace to save gas. most of those guys are just show no go. i have pulled over for 3 different cars to the side and they never tend to get down the car, some just pull over and take off right away. im glad to hear your wife didnt get hurt thanks to stupid ass ppl

to the OP - i can't imagine how helpless you felt knowing that your wife's life was being threatened in that situation. I'm sure that if any boyfriend or husband was in the car with their significant other, that it would definitely NOT have gone down like that. i hope your wife isn't having any recurring traumatic episodes after something like that. It's a long shot but if this sounds familiar to anyone I would just be tickled to hear about it. She stuck around and filed a police report but I'm not holding my breath as it's probably not high on their radar as things go.

Needless to say, if I were there it would have been a different outcome

I had this toolbox in an Audi TT (LOL right?) almost sideswipe me in my STi (when I had it). He was doing like 90mph in a 45 and in the right lane. He came up so quick while I was in the process of changing lanes to the right that I had to jump back to the left. Probably put a tire into his lane. He swerved and almost lost it.

So we come to the next light and I'm behind him shaking my head. He jumps out of the car and starts screaming and coming towards me. I assume he thought I was some punk kid based on the car. I just said "get back in your fucking car and shut the fuck up." He just turned around, got back in his car, and kept throwing his temper tantrum. Was preparing to smash him with my car door, spit on him, and drive away.

You know interestingly I too had a similar experience where I honked at someone to get them moving at a green light and the moron decides that stepping out of his vehicle into traffic was a good idea. As he walked back to lecture me on the improper use of my horn I calmly leaned out the window and told him in a calm voice to get back into his car all the while pulling my 12" blade that I keep by my drivers seat out of it's sheath under the radar.

He got back in his vehicle without further incident.

Another time some crazed dipshit in an old beater didn't like something I did behind the wheel and rolled up next to me and started with the whole 'gorilla beating on chest routine'. I simply asked him "What? What are you gonna do?" To which he got a stunned look on his face and shut up and kept driving. I guess he wasn't expecting that.

Yup. It's interesting to see people's reaction when they see you aren't intimidated. One of my favorite moves, when someone is gesturing, yelling, etc. is to point at them and laugh hysterically. This usually makes them even crazier...

One time I had a guy try to sideswipe me and his wife was riding shotgun...so literally he was going to smash his wife into my car.

I got a story like that, I am driving home in the left lane and some crazy prick trys to merge into my lane.... I did the light beep in my Audi A3 (the excuse me beep) this white asshole in a Acura integra beeps back at me and flips me off... Mind you I was driving 45 in a 40 while he was driving around 50 and its not like I was preventing him from switching lanes he didnt have a blinker on. So at this point i get mad show him both of my fingers, and then he trys to RAM my car with his POS... (I just got my car back from the paint shop and i didnt have it for 2 months i didnt want this again) so i LONG BEEP at him. He continues to be a douche and try's to push me onto the wrong side of the road. I attempted to slow down but that didnt work so to reduce confrentation I gunned it and when i was a good distance in front of him switched into the parking lane and parked so he would pass.

This guy 45-50 came out of his car pissed as all hell and as he was approaching my car, I was decided to get out tell him i dont want to deal with this ... as soon as i opened my door an was getting out he kicked the side of my door and pressed me between the door and the car injuring my back... luckily a lady stopped behind me and saw this and told him to "FUCK OFF" she was a nurse at the local hospital (.5 miles up the road). This guy went back into his car and drove off. She gave me all of her info and told me to stay in touch and to get to the hospital because she saw i was hurt.... My adrenaline is rushing so i didnt really feel much, so I decided I would take it easy and go home I sat down in the car, the nurse drove off in her ford explorer. I got in my car and guess who is BACK! so I call 911 immediately and he saw i was on the phone so he got back into his car to drive off, I was following him reported his plates and told them the direction he went in and they told me to stop following him or else any accidents or damages caused would be my fault.

I decided to make a right onto the next big street... when he saw i was turning he turned onto the wrong side of the street to follow me now... I have a Audi A3 tuned with a turbo upgrade. so i decided if a cop pulls me over i will have a valid excuse since now he is following me, and I am the one in danger now... I got away within minutes and parked at a nearby 7-11 where i waited for the cops, I saw him driving around the block multiple times.

I filed a police report, they found him, I pressed charges and to this day the lawsuit has not been settled.

I had one of my vertebra pop out of place heavy bruising on my arm and back and had to get physical thearpy for a while... and i had trouble walking... doctor said i wouldnt be able to walk properly ever... I started going to the gym recovered and the Dr. was impressed with my results, I continue to work out to this day and i have to strech daily. I am 22 years old and my back still kills me on some days.

When all of this happened I was 17 years old.

After my recovery I have not been afraid of anyone on the road and hope to see that asshole again... My lawyer told me that I should not go to the court hearings until it is mandatory because i want to rip out his throat.

He has paid me half of the law suit (which barely covers anything). I am expecting the remainder of my settlement soon, but i wish i had hired a better lawyer.

Yah, getting physical on the road is beyond unacceptable. I have a babysitter that watches after my daughter at times. One time she was in traffic and this guy cut her off, so she honked at him. This animal got out of his car to, she thought, come argue with her. Instead he punched her in the face and then drove off. Apparently the DA totally mishandled the case and he got off with a slap on the wrist. Luckily she had no permanent damage...it can get crazy out there.

To OP. It is very likely that this guy takes this same route everyday at the same time, or at least every friday. He probably drives there so often that he feels like he owns the street, most likely works there in one of the buildings.

and i agree with X, if you really want to find this guy try hanging out there for a little while. I don't really know how you would follow him but its a good start.

If i see something like this I will leyt you know. I will be on the look out, i will also tell a couple of my friends, and my sister who work right by UCLA and drive in the area to look for an E350 Black with Fletcher Jones Vanity plates. I dont know what you feel because its your wife, but the 2 weeks I had to wait to get called in to see photos of possible suspects was too long, and I want to see this guy off the road.

I will keep an eye out for you.
